TMC, Performance Management Technologies (PMT), Tax Manager:


A PMT Tax Manager is expected to contribute to the firm’s growth and development in a variety of ways, including:


·         Client Management:  Manage day to day interactions with executive clients and sponsors

·         Delivery: Manage and deliver components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology and creative business solutions for large companies.  Responsibilities include, among others, managing teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures.  A core of strong financial and/or tax external and management reporting functional expertise

·         People Development:  Perform role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices

·         Business Development: Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients; organize and lead pursuit teams; participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process; contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies




·         Bachelor’s Degree required

·         At least 5 years’ relevant consulting and/or industry experience

·         At least 2 years’ experience managing large technology engagements

·         Experience with performance management technologies (Hyperion, BPC, and/or Cognos)

·         Significant Functional (external and internal) reporting in areas such as SEC Financial Reporting, Management  and/or Tax Reporting experience

·         Familiarity with SOX 404 internal controls testing of key controls objectives and control activities framework

·         A minimum of 2 full life cycle implementations

·         4+ yrs experience implementing one or more of the following technologies:

o    Hyperion Planning and/or HFM

o    SAP BPC (formerly known as Outlooksoft) 

o    Cognos Planning and/or Controller

o    Tax point solutions such as TaxStream, CORPTax and/or Longview a strong plus…

·         A willingness to travel 80 – 100% of the time (Monday — Thursday/Friday)


In addition, successful PMT Tax Managers will have the following preferred background:


·         Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments

·         Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)

·         Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment

·         Eagerness to mentor junior staff

·         An advanced degree in the area of specialization

·         CPA Preferred

·         Deep functional knowledge around financial systems and processes.

·         Proven skills as a team member, team lead or project manager on at least one full life cycle implementation.

·         A proven resource in defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.

·         Adept at implementing technology-enabled business solutions for clients as part of a high-talent team. 

·         Committed to gaining exposure to multiple industries while further developing your career.

·         Ability to collaborate with clients and have a strong desire to excel.


  • Qualifications:


    ·         5 or more years of relevant hands-on development experience in the following:

    o    MOSS 2007/MSS 2010

    o    SSRS

    o    SSIS

    o    Visual Studio

    o    SharePoint Designer

    o    SharePoint Object Model

    o    SharePoint Business Connectivity Services

    o    .Net (WinForms and ASP.NET)

    o    Java

    o    C #

    o    WCF

    ·         4 or more years of client consulting experience

    ·         4 or more years of project management experience

    ·         Experience leading a medium- to large-scale IT engagements

    ·         Thorough knowledge of best practices and design patterns with practical implementation experience

    ·         Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

    ·         Excellent consulting skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members

    ·         Bachelors degree or higher

    ·         A willingness to travel 80 – 100% of the time (Monday – Thursday/Friday)

    o    InfoPath Form Services

    o    Layer2

    o    Silverlight interface development

    o    MetaStorm & other workflow tools

    o    Documentum & other document management tools

    o    Endeca & other search tools

    o    Active Directory integration
