Senior – Compensation and Benefits Tax – Boston, MA (Tax)

Global Employment Services (GES) tax professionals help clients develop tax-aligned compensation and benefits programs that address their global and domestic needs. Professionals are comprised of global compensation, benefits, and international assignments practitioners who work with clients to streamline their programs while managing tax effectiveness, risks, and costs. These services are designed to assist clients with developing the strategies, processes, and technologies that affect their staff and operations on a worldwide scale.


Our Compensation & Benefits (C&B) Tax Group is part of our GES practice.  We are currently looking for a Tax Senior Consultant to join our C&B Tax Group. 

In this position, you will be responsible for tax consulting regarding qualified and non-qualified plans, executive compensation arrangements, health and welfare benefit arrangement, equity compensation programs, international income tax issues, and reporting and disclosure rules.  Projects may include preparing government filings for employee benefit plans including Form 5500, performing nondiscrimination testing, assisting with stock based compensation reporting under ASC718, and performing IRC Section 280G calculations.


Additional responsibilities include research and counsel for small, middle-market and Fortune 100 clients on plan administration and compliance issues, including distribution, plan and operational correction, qualified domestic relations order, determination letter request, equity compensation, plan asset, merger and fiduciary issues. 

This individual must have the following qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of experience with Big 4, Law or Benefits Consulting Firm.
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Strong proficiency in the areas of ERISA, compensation and benefit reporting and disclosure, and compensation and benefit program compliance (e.g. qualified and non-qualified plan, equity compensation, executive compensation)
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related field.
  • Advanced degree such as MST, JD or LLM preferred.
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred.
  • Minimal travel required
