Principal Tax Accountant– State Income Tax

Our client, a dynamic global technology services company, has an opportunity for a State tax professional to join their team and focus on planning issues for all business segments of the corporation. This position is the first one solely dedicated to State Tax Planning issues!

As a member of the Domestic Tax Operations group, you will be involved in tax planning projects including S&L Income/Franchise issues for a broad range of corporate initiatives including integration/implementation of US acquisitions both in the commercial and government contracting spaces. As well as state apportionment planning, credit & incentives projects and legal entity restructuring.

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years corporate tax compliance and planning background with significant experience in operational multi-state tax planning for a Fortune 500 company.
  • Bachelors in Accounting and/or CPA; advanced degree a strong plus (MST or MBA).
  • Strong knowledge of tax accounting implications with regard to tax planning initiatives.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfortable with systems, technology and data management.
  • Effective in problem solving, strategic/creative thinking and in an environment that promotes cross functional dynamics.
