Tax Job Info Sharing


The Analyst, Tax Planning will report to the Vice President, Tax Planning and will be responsible for researching, developing and recommending tax planning strategies for the Company. This position will also be responsible for tax forecasts and preparing the Company’s monthly tax provision. Below is a summary of this position’s duties and responsibilities:

• Work with Vice President, Tax Planning on acquisition and other business transactions to ensure that the tax technical matters have been addressed and executed properly.

• Responsible for international and/or taxable REIT subsidiary projects such as transfer pricing

• Responsible for certain research, analyses and memorandums for REIT, C Corporation, Partnership and/or Multi-State tax projects.

• Responsible for preparing the Company’s monthly income tax provision and computation of Federal and state annual estimated tax rates.

• Work with Accounting Departments in obtaining financial information necessary for monthly tax provision and tax planning projects.

• Work with Asset Management and Development Departments to determine projected financial results to forecast taxable income for tax provision and tax planning purposes.

• Work with Tax Compliance Managers on certain tax disclosures, elections and/or attachments.

• Coordinate with tax managers regarding tax planning transactions as necessary for estimates/extensions/filings.

• Assist tax department in all other miscellaneous matters as needed.


Candidate should possess at least 5 years of experience in income tax matters. A Bachelors Degree in Accounting is required. Candidate should be proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.

Candidate should be a highly motivated, self-starter, possess the ability to multi-task in a professional, fast-paced environment, and a willingness to assist in other areas as needed.
