Allison Transmission is currently looking for a Corporate Tax Accountant at their headquarters in Indianapolis, IN.

Position Description

As a member of the Corporate Tax team, the Corporate Tax Accountant will assist in the preparation of the Company’s financial statements (ASC 740/FAS 109 preparation of the quarterly & annual tax provisions for US GAAP; including analysis of tax positions taken by the company (FIN 48), assist with federal, state and international compliance, tax audits and planning and research.

Activities to include but not limited to:

– Assist with quarterly and annual income tax provisions

– Assist with preparation of US income tax returns

– Assist in research and documentation of domestic tax issues

– Assist in development and maintenance of SOX 404 procedures

– Assist with international reviews

Other projects as assigned

Position Requirements

Required Skills:

– College degree

– 4-7 years experience with a mix of experience in a large public accounting firm and large corporate tax environment.

– Understanding of ASC 740/FAS 109, FIN 48, and SOX 404

Preferred Skills:

– Manufacturing experience

– CPA with a minimum 4 years ASC 740/FAS 109 experience.

– Masters degree in Accounting and/or Taxation.
