Director of Global Tax Planning

Boston, Massachusetts Area

 
Our client, a $10 billion leader in their industry is looking for a new Director of Global Tax Planning to join this smart, team oriented tax department.  This company is going through some exciting new growth and has continued to appreciate tax and its importance to the company’s overall growth.  We are looking for an individual that would be excited about the following:

  • Dynamic management team adapting to constantly changing Healthcare environment.
  • Some of the most challenging and interesting tax research and planning work there is in corporate America.
  • Extensively support and engage with business management and cross functional corporate and local country groups on international tax planning issues.
  • Tremendous growth opportunities within the tax department, proven by many internal promotions.
  • Be mentored by a strong international tax practitioner, as well as VP of Planning.
  • Live and work in the beautiful New England area, just outside the Boston area.

 Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 7+ years of tax experience with a heavy focus on U.S. International tax planning and M&A, as well as E&P, FTC’s and Subpart F.
  • Prefer a combination of professional services and corporate in-house experience.
  • CPA required.  If a JD, must have undergrad in accounting or Finance and CPA or strong experience in the accounting area.
  • Experience with tax accounting a big plus due to interfacing with the tax reporting group within tax.
  • Track record of excellent leadership and management of projects.
  • Leader who is self-confident, a person of unquestionable integrity, self-starter, a person who can both lead and participate in intra-departmental and cross functional teams, a strong communicator with ability to effectively represent the tax department throughout the organization at multiple levels.
