Deloitte’s National Tax Technology Group offers a full solution of tax-based process & technology services (including product implementations) to enhance a corporate tax department’s ability to deliver value-added contributions to their organizations.  The scope of services includes the design and implementation of multiple data management solutions utilizing SharePoint (MSS 2010 & MOSS 2007) to integrate our process and technology services targeting corporate tax departments.

 

Deloitte’s Global Technology Services (GTS) is seeking a.Net Programming Senior Consultant to be part of a fast-paced, dynamic environment that designs and develops web based solutions for our clients. Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for design, analysis, development, implementation, and deployment of new data driven web based applications, as well as providing support for existing systems.  This position requires strong familiarity with .NET technologies, and strong design skills.  Experience in .Net 3.5 or higher, SQL Server, OOP, XML/XSLT/XPATH, ADO.NET, C#, JavaScript and Web Services is required. Experience in any portal technology is a plus.  The tech lead should be able to work independently and lead a team of developers to deliver end-to-end web solutions for moderate to complex projects in a fast paced environment.

 

 Key Responsibilities:

• Define, Lead, and Deliver the software framework and services using the .NET framework and Microsoft technologies.
• Interact with business analyst/Client(s) to understand business problem(s) being addressed by the project.
• Review the requirements and assess the work effort and estimate the necessary time-to-completion.
• Create unit test plans and scenarios for development unit testing.
• Work with peers to carry out code reviews and unit testing of new development.
• Document new development, procedures or test plans as needed.
• Interact with other development teams to ensure a consistent, uniform approach to software development.
• Closely follow software development best practices to maximize the predictability and success of project(s).
• Communicate professionally and effectively to clients, management, and other departments.
• Prepare technical design documents using enterprise standard documentation tools.
• Support system testing by following up on and closing defect tickets in a timely manner.
• Deploy all integration artifacts to a testing and production environments.

 

Qualifications:
• At least 5 years’ experience:
      – Web development in Microsoft technologies
      – C#, ASP.Net MVC, HTML5, JavaScript, Ajax, XML/XSLT/XPATH, ADO.net, Object oriented programming
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Business/Technology or similar degree required.
• Experience with Agile Software Development Life Cycle methodologies.
• Strong understanding of .NET Fundamentals (Interfaces, inheritance etc.).
• Experience with web services (1.1 or 2.0). Experience with windows services is a plus.
• Knowledge of design patterns and architectural patterns.
• Experience with Visual Studio 2005/ 2008 / 2010 / 2012.
• Experience with a Source code Control system.
• Experience with SQL Server 2008.  (2012 a plus).
• Experience with database design, querying, stored procedures, views, joins, performance etc.
• Strong analytic problem-solving, critical-thinking skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability for light travel.
