Senior Tax Accountant – U.S. Market Strategic Business Unit AES/Indianapolis Power & Light Indianapolis, Indiana The nearly 1,500 employees of IPL strive to Be the Best®, both on and off the job every day. IPL is currently seeking an experienced Tax Accountant for our U.S. Market Strategic Business Unit who can build strong relationships with our corporate functions and business line tax counterparts. As a Senior Tax Accountant for our U.S. Market Strategic Business Unit, you will prepare the Federal and State ASC 740, including FIN 48, income tax returns and tax budgets, and provide tax accounting support for local projects. You will also maintain deferred tax balances, prepare the U.S. Return to Accrual adjustment and assist with work prepared/shared with counterparty at our parent corporation to ensure accuracy.

To qualify for our Senior Tax Accountant position, you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; Master’s degree in taxation preferred

• Three years of U.S. income tax experience and familiarity with technical tax and ASC 740, including FIN 48

• Ability to synthesize large volumes of corporate activity and process in order to quickly and accurately collaborate with others on the U.S. income tax and ASC 740 impacts

• Strong technical, organizational, management and writing skills

• Ability to travel, when necessary
