– Global Employment Services – International Assignment Services Senior (Tax)


We are currently seeking an experienced payroll professional with a background in expatriate payroll and compensation reporting administration. The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in client services, expatriate payroll set-up and administration, and global compensation reporting and compliance.

 

The IHR practice is comprised of professionals who perform International Human Resources and Expatriate Payroll/Compensation for its client’s international assignment programs including: assignment cost analysis, assignment letters, expatriate orientations, coordination of relocation vendors, securing totalization agreements, expatriate payroll set-up and initiation, shadow payroll, compensation accumulation, taxability analysis, and year-end reporting.

 

You will work with IHR, Tax, Equity, and Compensation & Benefits professionals to assist with these services with exceptional customer service.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Expatriate payroll set-up and initiation, and management of ongoing payroll instructions 
  • Compensation accumulation, taxability analysis, gross-up calculations, and year-end reporting
  • W2 reconciliation and preparation of compensation break-downs for global tax preparation
  • Key contact for client’s global payrolls
  • Key contact for client’s non-payroll global compensation contacts

Education/Background:
 
College coursework:  A Bachelor Degree is required in Human Resources, International Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics.  A Master’s Degree in related fields is a plus.
 

Skills Required:

  • 3-5 yrs experience in payroll with strong knowledge of expatriate payroll, payroll tax withholding calculations, gross ups, and fringe benefits reporting
  • Familiar with various payroll systems, e.g., ADP, SAP, Ceridian
  • Strong knowledge of MS Applications, specifically Excel and Access
  • Ability to work in a complex deadline oriented environment
  • Ability to multi-task various client responsibilities

 

  • 3 or more years of general tax experience, with at least 2 years in expatriate and foreign national tax compliance, tax equalization policy implementation/consulting, and management of international assignee populations of multi-national clients.
  • Candidate should be familiar with the individual income tax issues and tax law including foreign national and expatriate issues, foreign tax compliance and the tax equalization process.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related field .
  • Licensed CPA, Attorney or Enrolled Agent designation preferred.
  • Minimal travel required
