Tax Senior (Real Estate Tax Services) position available in New York, NY to assist companies with national, state and local and international tax structures and align the tax function with business objectives. Assist clients with fundamental tax planning and analysis, analyze company-specific business and tax issues and identify and mitigate risk areas. Under the supervision of Tax Managers, oversee tax consulting projects for clients in diverse industries. Research and analyze a wide range of tax issues encountered on engagements. Assume tax-planning responsibilities for federal clients and assist with the supervision of assignments. Assist with tax planning opportunity identification, implement tax planning projects, and provide tax research and analysis for clients in diverse industries.  Analyze clients’ business and tax systems, clear open items relating to assigned areas, meet client deadlines, and ensure timely project completion. Assist with the supervision of Tax Consultants.  Participate in engagement planning and decision-making.  Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or Finance (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) as well as eighteen (18) months of experience in the job offered or eighteen (18) months of experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client workpapers and tax returns.  Eighteen (18) months of experience must include: demonstrated expertise applying tax compliance provisions to the preparation of C-Corporation and partnership returns for publicly traded and private companies; demonstrated expertise working with auditors and various tax specialty groups on ASC740 on international compliance transactions, transfer pricing, and credit matters; demonstrated expertise performing tax research utilizing tax and audit software, including CCH, Gosystem, Corptax, Prosystem, One Source Support, LexisNexis, and RIA Checkpoint; and demonstrated expertise reviewing and responding to federal and multistate tax notices for C-Corporation clients.
