Senior Manager – National Tax Process Standardization – Chief Staff – Location Open (Tax)

Deloitte Tax LLP’s National Tax Process Standardization (TPS) team is responsible for the design, development and deployment of standard process use and tools related to the delivery of federal and state compliance services for business & individual clients.  The diverse professionals on the TPS team are focused on enhancing Deloitte Tax LLP’s ability to deliver comprehensive, value-added, and efficient compliance services to our clients.  It is a dynamic team with professionals of varying backgrounds from tax technical to change management and Six Sigma.  The team consults and executes on a wide range of initiatives involving process and tool development and implementation including training development, engagement management tool design and implementation, standard tax workpaper development and online review processes. 


Chief of Staff, Compliance & Reporting Services:

The Chief of Staff, Compliance & Reporting Services (CRS), will partner with the Business Owner and Initiative Owner to provide Process Standardization ownership for all aspects of the CRS initiative.  Process Standardization team responsibilities include guide the development and deployment of TAX enterprise processes and technologies to significantly improve performance, increase stability, streamline processes, and lower costs of doing business by providing solid, well thought out, strategic process and technology recommendations and solutions; providing technical expertise, project management, resource planning, analysis, and design and system implementation; and establishing effective and open communications between all groups.  This includes product planning, process definition and refinement, architecture and design, integration with other applications, short-term and long-term roadmap and the supporting release plans, change management, metrics and utilization reporting, and budget responsibility.



o Development and deployment of Process Standardization Communications strategy and plan; including CRS monthly newsletter, CRS Resource Center, communications to the field, Leadership communications and presentations,
o Development and deployment of Process Standardization Learning strategy and plan; including the CRS curriculum, Learning events, Regional and local office training programs, etc.
o Lead the development and delivery of the annual CRS Super User event in the US and USI.
o Development and deployment of Process Standardization Learning strategy and plan.
o Coordinate with Clients and Markets to develop and deliver the CRS marketing strategy and deliverables. 
o Supporting the US CRS Executive Leader and Leadership team.
o Coordinate with Regional Process Leaders.

Additional responsibilities for discreet projects include:
o Initiative and scope definition
o Process definition and refinement
o Identification and documentation of process and technology requirements
o Develop short-term and long-term roadmap
o Ensure deliverables meet the business needs
o Identification and management of issues, risks, and dependencies
o Escalation of issues and risks to Tax Leadership 
o Ensure deployment areas are identified and addressed
    1. Serve as a liaison to the deployment infrastructure and the field
    2. Interface with National and local resources from all service lines to ensure business needs are being met
    3. Team with the TLTD group to create, update, and deliver national training materials
    4. Assist local offices with trainings when National support is needed
    5. Team with the Communications group to develop and edit communications
    6. Drive adoption and recommend strategies

• Undergraduate degree required; Advanced degree a plus
• Minimum of 8 years Project Management/Change Management experience
• PMP a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; including Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint
• Client Relationship experience required.  Fosters a climate conducive to establishing positive working relationships with clients (internal and external).
• Excellent organizational and verbal and written communication skills
• Must have led a large initiative from start to completion
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a virtual environment
• Must have strong interpersonal skills, presentation skills, and ability to work productively with all levels in a global organization
• Strong negotiator.  Must be able to effectively manage scope of projects utilizing field resources.
• Expert problem solver.  Finding simple answers to complex questions or problems.  Thinking outside the box.  Uses knowledge gained through prior experience, education, training to resolve issues and remove project barriers
• Some travel required.
