Job Description:
The Financial Services industry is operating in a challenging environment due to global economic pressure, increasing regulatory demands and capital requirements as well as significant operational and technology changes. Our growing Financial Services Advisory practice provides management, technology and risk consulting services to help major financial institutions around the world respond to their most complex business challenges. The Financial Services Advisory practice is composed of three industry sectors: Asset Management, Banking & Capital Markets and Insurance.

Our Information Management consultants help clients maximize the value of their data. This high performing team helps clients define their information strategy, architecture and governance, get the most value from business intelligence and analytics, and implement enterprise content and data management solutions to reduce cost and complexity, increase trust and integrity, and improve operational effectiveness.

Position/Program Requirements:
Minimum Years of Experience 1
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelors degree

Knowledge Preferred:
Demonstrates some knowledge of and proven success in roles performing on, compliance-related consulting engagements, which emphasize the following areas:
-Conducting data analytics and applying related technical know-how to develop risk rating models, identify anomalous transactions, suspicious activity reviews, and threshold monitoring and pattern detection on projects related to Customer Information Program, Know Your Customer and Anti-Money Laundering;
-Leveraging and applying the following regulations in conjunction with transaction monitoring systems, wire transfer instructions, including CHIPS, Fed wire, SWIFT, and message structures and types: Bank Secrecy Act, Anti Money Laundering, Office of Foreign Assets Control, OFAC, and USA Patriot Act.

Skills Preferred:
Demonstrates some proven thorough skills and success with utilizing relational database concepts, i.e. building relationships between tables and grouping data in order to create analysis for further evaluation, which includes the following areas:
-Managing large datasets and relational databases, writing and coding basic scripts, and conducting complex technical analysis
-Interpreting information and regulatory requirements in order to define and manage data requests
-Defining data requirements and identifying data sources, and database and/or system extract requirements and routines
-Defining and developing procedures and scripts to integrate data from multiple sources
-Defining and implementing data quality assessments, i.e. data management and reconciliation throughout the data lifecycle, and documentation of audit trails
-Developing algorithms to detect fraudulent or non-compliant transactions, or perform statistical and economic impact analyses
-Developing executive-level reports and dashboards to summarize results

To accomplish the list above areas, some proven thorough abilities to utilize the following technologies and methods are preferred:
-SQL programming, SQL query performance enhancements and database tuning/optimization, logical/physical disk assignment, backups,
-Visual Basic, VB, application development
-Development of stored procedures, cursors, fuzzy logic matching
-Data normalization, standardization, and parsing techniques
-Analytical and database development that leverages Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, or MS Access
-Data mining, manipulation and analyses that leverages T-SQL or SQL, ACL, Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, and charts, string manipulation, lookups, and filters, Monarch

Additional demonstrated abilities and success in the following areas are preferred:
-Identifying and addressing client needs: actively participating in client discussions and meetings; communicating a broad range of Firm services; managing engagements including preparing concise, accurate documents and balancing project economics management with the occurrence of unanticipated issues.
-Writing, communicating, facilitating, and presenting cogently to and/or for all levels of industry audiences, clients and internal staff and management, which includes whitepapers, studies and client briefings.
