Business valuation


Our Business Valuation professionals advise clients on the complex issues surrounding critical financial and economic events, high-profile transaction strategic business imperativess.  We bring to bear the range of our deep financial and valuation acumen, as well as knowledge of the latest in compliance and regulations, to help our clients understand, analyze, and respond to the opportunities and challenges presented by these events and transactions and key business decision.  We leverage a range of highly technical methodologies and strategies ‑ from valuation and financial modeling to asset strategies and analysis to lender advisory and creditor support services ‑ to help grow and protect our clients’ mission, reputation, and resources


Personal and practice development

  • Creating financial models based on business issues or transactions being analyzed  

  • Assisting in drafting reports and findings including the preparation of tables, exhibits and charts

  • Participating in the development of client presentations

  • Assisting with researching various technical and industry specific issues

  • Researching market issues and identify market opportunities

  • Demonstrating an understanding of risk associated with engagements

  • Assisting in reviews of third party appraisals for audit support purposes

  • Balancing multiple engagements and responsibilities

  • Communicating effectively with all levels of engagement management

  • Developing excellent professional oral and written communication skills in order to establish working relationships with client personnel

  • Exhibiting a professional, business-like demeanor

  • Exercising professional judgment on engagements by providing proactive solutions and recommendations

  • Proactively managing career- set goals and career plans with advisory/career counselor

  • Participating on engagments nationally and with other FAS service lines and functions (Consulting, Audit, and Tax) around the country and globally.



  • Bachelor’s degree required

                  Preferred majors include Finance, Accounting, and Economics. 

  • Strong Academic credentials (Minimum GPA of 3.2)


  • Relevant work experience (e.g. internships, summer positions, school jobs)


  • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving and strong verbal and written communication skills


  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage ambiguity


  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels


  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required


  • Must be flexible with the potential travel requirements of client service projects
