Transformation Sr. Manager (Tax)

Position Summary:

 

Global Employer Services (GES) tax professionals help clients develop tax-aligned compensation and benefits programs that address their global and domestic needs. Professionals are comprised of global compensation, benefits, and international assignments practitioners who work with clients to streamline their programs while managing tax effectiveness, risks, and costs. These services are designed to assist clients with developing the strategies, processes and technologies that affect their staff and operations on a worldwide scale.

 

Deloitte Tax LLP is currently seeking a Transformation Manager who can drive end-to-end management of a large technology transformation program. The Transformation Manager will be responsible for developing and executing activities related to end-to-end management of the transformation program, including project plans and estimates, scoping and requirements through implementation and deployment. The individual will actively engage with business stakeholders, developers and leadership to drive best practices and support into the overall planning and management process. He/she will proactively monitor, manage and report on execution of deliverables through all program/project phases.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

Managing Project Deliverables and Timelines

·         Define, understand and manage scope of system modification/implementation projects

·         Identify and help resolve project issues and risks in a timely, effective manner

·         Create project work plans in Microsoft Project and/or other project management tools

·         Understand, monitor, and report on key project indicators, including financial and schedule metrics

·         Work with team members to successfully deliver all project deliverables on-time and with high quality

·         Understand the fundamental solution being developed/deployed – its business value, blueprint, how it fits with the overall architecture or business operations, risks, etc.

·         Work with leadership to appropriately staff projects with resources that have the appropriate technical and/or business skills

·         Manage critical path, dependencies, contingency and overall budget performance

 

Leading Resources

·         Provide day-to-day oversight and guidance to team members working on one or many work-streams

·         Conduct performance review activities throughout the year, including goal-setting and providing performance feedback

·         Act as the first point of escalation for business or career issues

·         Provide in-direct oversight and guidance to multiple system developers working on one or many work-threads

 

Manage Project Documentation

·         Review project deliverables for completeness and quality, and compliance with established project standards

·         Peer review work done by team members and provide detailed feedback

·         Assist in producing documentation required for sign-off

·         Participate in special projects as needed

Job Requirements

 

·         5+ years delivering software implementations as a project manager. Experience with ERP packages like SAP or Oracle will be considered as an advantage.

·         Experience with requirements gathering, technical specification development, solution design and architecting, cost estimating, and developing technical project plans and staffing assignments.

·         Experience with managing and mentoring onshore and offshore technical staff in order to drive optimal performance and quality deliverables.

·         Experience with managing project risk related to the delivery of support work, and managing project budgets related to that delivery.

·         Ability to build and maintain cross-functional and executive-level relationships.

·         Articulate, good presentation and communication skills as well as strong influencing and negotiation skills to drive results.

 

Education: A bachelor’s degree is required for this position.

 

Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, United States. Position requires 10%-15% travel to London, UK and Hyderabad, India
