Position Summary:


Global Employer Services (GES) tax professionals help clients develop tax-aligned compensation and benefits programs that address their global and domestic needs. Professionals are comprised of global compensation, benefits, and international assignments practitioners who work with clients to streamline their programs while managing tax effectiveness, risks, and costs. These services are designed to assist clients with developing the strategies, processes and technologies that affect their staff and operations on a worldwide scale.


Deloitte Tax LLP is currently seeking a Business Analyst who can support management of a large technology transformation program. The Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analyzing and documenting processes and requirements for software systems implementation.This role will participate in the analysis and oversight and also be involved in quality assurance. This is a role which requires excellent analytical and communication skills as well as the ability to understand business processesand identify opportunities for improvement. The individual will actively engage with business stakeholders, developers and leadership to drive best practices and support into the overall planning and management process. He/she will facilitate monitoring and reporting on execution of deliverables through all program/project phases.


Job Responsibilities


·       Understanding the features, functions,and capabilities of software platforms in order to achieve proper business requirements alignment

·       Document business requirements, dependencies and progress by participating in interviews, use case outlines,workshops etc.

·       Analyze the impact of business requirements changes to the project. Document dependencies and changes andtrack, monitor and report on progress and issue resolution

·       Act as a liaison between the development team and business stakeholders and facilitate team interaction

·       Manage timelines and milestones on work-streams including technical, creative, and production, including internal team members as well external suppliers and contractors

·       Assist in leadership communication including progress reports, issue resolution and escalation to management including creation of deliverables to support communications

·       Track, monitor and report on effort,costs, expenses to support effective management of the program budget

·       Support ad-hoc requests to support program management, governance and alignment with business leadership





Job Description


Deloitte Tax LLP is currently seeking an Analytics Manager to work in a rapidly growing service line. This individual will conduct quantitative, qualitative and strategic analysis of structured (e.g. transactional) and unstructured (e.g. text) electronic data, from initial data scoping and collection through transformation and validation, for purposes of deep data analysis and mining. This analysis is performed as the basis for larger efforts that include rules- and indicator-based testing, trend analysis, and visualization techniques.


Job Responsibilities


·         Create, manage, and utilize high performance relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Microsoft Access, OLAP and other proprietary software)

·         Systematically scope, acquire, load, validate, and maintain structured (e.g., transactional) and unstructured (e.g., text) electronic data as the basis for employing rules-based, inductive, and visual techniques

·         Structure, define and complete ad-hoc, periodic and ongoing analytics to identify patterns or scenarios, develop models that depict or describe historical events, as well as build predictive models for the purposes of business enhancement and advanced segmentation and pattern recognition

·         Query and mine large data sets to discover transaction patterns, examine data and isolate targeted information – using traditional as well as predictive/advanced analytic methodologies

·         Lead the design and development of application modules, perform data quality control, develop database reports and user interfaces, and normalize relational data

·         Lead the preparation and presentation of complex written and verbal materials, including reports, findings, presentations, and project planning

·         Possess knowledge of and be able to effectively employ advanced analytic tools which utilize visualization (Tableau, Qlikview etc.), predictive modeling (SAS, neural networks etc.), case management, data cleansing, etc.

·         Supervise, lead, and train junior associates in the aforementioned activities as well as career counseling with junior staff

·         Provide input with respect to practice technology initiatives and investments


Job Requirements


·         5+ years of hands-on technical experience mining and analyzing transactional electronic data with a strong working knowledge of relational databases, including advanced experience with query building

·         Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to executive management

·         Demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects with strong ability to properly delegate and meet deadlines

·         Experience in business consulting projects and participation in client presentations preferred

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

·         Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral

·         Commitment to personal and professional growth, including the development of peers and junior staff

·         Outstanding integrity, initiative, creativity, and passion


Education: A bachelor’s degree is required ‑ Computer Science or quantitative discipline preferred
