TMC, Tax Enterprise Applications (EA) Senior Consultant

The group’s process solutions enable clients to help improve the people, process, technology, and organization of the tax function. Companies that have already implemented or are considering implementing an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system often overlook the tax benefits these systems can provide or underestimate the impact on the tax department. To be most effective from a tax perspective, a successful ERP implementation requires professionals who specialize in tax and can effectively address a corporate tax function’s unique needs, requirements and obligations.
Deloitte Tax’s Enterprise Applications (EA), the largest of its type, offers the necessary combination of skills, methodology and practical experience to help clients avoid the pitfalls of an ERP implementation. We develop comprehensive solutions designed to capture tax-critical financial information and make sure it is accessible in the ERP system, filling the tax information void.
A Tax Enterprise Applications Senior Consultant is expected to contribute to the growth and development of Deloitte Tax in a variety of ways, including:
- Delivery: Manage and deliver components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology and creative business solutions for large companies. Responsibilities include, among others, managing teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures.
- People Development: Perform role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science or other business related field.
- Advanced degree such as MST, JD or LLM preferred.
- Experience with a Big 4 firm or other consulting organization is preferred.
- Strong technology.
o Implementation SAP or ORACLE and FI required
o PMP a plus
- Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, research skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent project management and presentation skills required.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity.
- Ability to work both independently and lead a team of professionals.
- Ability to travel up to 100% to client locations nationally.
