Job Description:
The Health Industries practice comprises professionals with deep health industry expertise, including physicians, nurses, information system specialists, health policy analysts, actuaries, financial advisors, and data analysts. Their multidisciplinary and multi-industry approach enables our professionals to collaborate with clients to help them manage strategic initiatives, deliver financial performance and operational improvements, manage risk and compliance programs and to align core business processes with health information technology.
With a focus toward capabilities in innovation and growth, operations improvement, sustainability and quality, information technology, financial management, and governance, risk, and compliance, the practice has served clients in the following sectors:
Healthcare providers: hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, community providers, outpatient and freestanding ambulatory centers, and physician practices

As a team member of our Consulting practice, you will provide advisory services focused on implementing process improvement solutions that strengthen accountability, and promote effective financial processes and procedures at Fortune 500 organizations. Financial Management team members identify, assess, analyze and mitigate some of the most significant financial issues these organizations. Project work may include involvement with financial process improvement, financial alignment with organizational goals, and enterprise-wide finance transformation. .

As a member of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory team, you will join professionals with unparalleled financial and accounting expertise, knowledge of business processes, industry insight and technology, and customer relationship skills. Through our capabilities in these areas, we assist our clients in translating strategy into action.

Our Health Industries Provider Team assists hospital and health systems with quantitative analysis to support management decision-making around a variety of financial and operational issues. Resources within the group focus on strategic planning, turnaround analysis, feasibility studies, third-party reimbursement, operations improvement, including staffing and non-staffing cost reviews and revenue cycle assessments.

The Finance & Controls group focuses on strategic financial planning, turnaround analysis, prospective financial information, third-party reimbursement, reimbursement recovery, financial assessment for operations improvement, including staffing and non-staffing benchmarking, programmatic financial planning, and support for strategic pricing analysis.

Position/Program Requirements:
Knowledge Preferred:

Thorough experience advising domestic healthcare organizations, colleges and universities, non-profit, and government entities on strategic planning and financial modeling, internal controls risk assessment, managerial costing, systems implementation, research administration and compliance, grant management, and business intelligence strategies.

Thorough knowledge of reporting platforms, systems, and processes; cost accounting standards (CAS); grant management, and/or federal regulation requirements.

Thorough knowledge of healthcare sector with experience on hospitals (and/or other healthcare providers), academic medical centers, colleagues and universities, governmental entities, and other non-profit organizations. Specific experience in various ERP systems, including Hyperion, PeopleSoft, Oracle, and/or InfoEd also required based on role filled.

Skills Preferred:

Thorough technical experience, including managerial cost accounting, financial modeling, academic medical center research plans, grant management, compliance regulations, and information/ERP/database system processes, procedures and presentation criteria.

Considerable experience identifying and addressing client needs: building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement; communicating value propositions; managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections; and preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.

Considerable experience as a team leader: supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust; seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation; and coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback.

Minimum Years of Experience Necessary:


Minimum Degree(s) and Certification(s) Required:

Bachelor’s degree. Preferred majors: Finance, Accounting or Business Administration. Master’s degree in Accounting is desirable.

Position Description: PricewaterhouseCoopers Enterprise Performance Management group works with Global 1000 companies to improve financial processes, structures, systems, and decision support capabilities. PricewaterhouseCoopers EPM team has an opportunity for managers, architects and experienced developers with skills to design and deliver Hyperion EPM solutions for Planning, Consolidations (HFM) and Management Reporting (Essbase). Position Requirements: The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of Hyperion Planning, Essbase or HFM project management, design and/or development experience. A strong background in managing, assessing and implementing Hyperion EPM solutions is required. Solid experience in budgeting, forecasting, consolidations, management reporting and chart of account design is required. Additional requirements include: Consulting and client services background implementing multiple Hyperion EPM projects- with either HFM, Essbase or Hyperion Planning Budgeting and forecasting process design and best practice knowledge Close and consolidation process design and best practice knowledge Project management skills on large/complex Hyperion EPM improvement engagements Participate in sales process on Hyperion EPM transformation opportunities Lead project teams and deliver $1.5 million of Hyperion EPM related services annually In addition, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a strong professional presence are required. Education Requirements: College degree required. Accounting background and or CPA a plus.
