Job Description:
Our U.S. Financial Services (FS) Practice consists of approximately 2,300 assurance professionals, including 223 partners and 650 managers. It spans industry sectors and functional skill areas, including insurance, investment management, capital markets, banking and real estate. We serve many of the world’s largest financial institutions. This means that we have insight into the challenges facing the industry. PwC is the leader is serving large, complex financial services institutions. In the U.S., we audit:

– 18 of the top 50 life insurers, representing 39 percent of admitted assets.
– 19 of the top 50 property and casualty insurers, representing 44 percent of net premiums written.
– 11 of the top 25 reinsurers, representing 47 percent of net premiums written.
– Over 2,900 mutual funds, representing 40% of all mutual funds and 58% of total industry net assets; this includes funds at nine and the advisor and funds at six of the top ten funds families.
– Two of the top three, three of the top 15, and five of the top 20 US-based commercial banks.
– Five of the top 20 mortgage servicers, and four of the top 20 mortgage originators.
– Nine of the top 50 broker-dealers.

PwC’s Financial Instruments, Structured Products and Real Estate Practice provides highly specialized transaction and valuation services to institutional owners of real estate as well as other parties in the real estate capital markets and are recognized for their econometric and statistical research. Our international network includes highly credentialed real estate professionals who have had broad experience in many facets of the real estate industry.

Position/Program Requirements:
Knowledge Preferred: Demonstrates proven working knowledge of valuation concepts and terminology, as well as specialized transaction and valuation services, including:
– Real estate transaction and market participant data
– Historical property operating statements
– Real estate lease abstraction and analysis
– Cost, market and income valuation methods, including discounted cash flow models
– Debt Valuation

Demonstrates progress toward completion of real estate valuation licenses and or designations are preferred
Skills Preferred:
Demonstrates some proven abilities to conduct research and perform analyses of pertinent real estate-related client, industry, and technical matters while utilizing problem-solving skills including but not limited to:
– Collection of real estate transaction and market participant data on a domestic and foreign basis
– Analyses of historical property operating statements
– Abstraction and analyses of real estate leases
– Review and preparation of valuation analyses using the three acceptable methods of valuation (cost, market, and income approach – including discounted cash flow models)
– Debt Valuation
– Identification and analyses of comparable sales, leases, and the ability to construct a discounted cash flow model using the standard suite of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Argus to execute related deliverables.

Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success, as both an individual contributor and team member, demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks, attention to detail with task completion; and, communicating potential conflicts to a supervisor.
Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team member: understanding personal and team roles; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback;
Demonstrates some abilities utilizing effective written and verbal business communication skills when interacting with external clients and firm staff and/or management within a professional services business environment.
Minimum Years of Experience Necessary: 2
Minimum Degree(s) and Certification(s) Required: Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance or Accounting
Demonstrates flexibility and desire to travel, as client assignments require.
