M&A Tax Senior – Post Merger Integration (Tax)

Deloitte Tax professionals of the National Federal Tax Services (NFTS) practice work with local office Deloitte Tax professionals to assist clients with fundamental tax planning and analysis.  These Federal tax professionals work to understand company-specific business and tax issues and work with the company to optimize its tax position to identify and mitigate risk areas.


NFTS Tax Senior Consultants’ primary responsibilities include consulting and overseeing federal tax projects which include complex tax research for clients in diverse industries, research and analysis of a wide range of tax issues encountered on our engagements, and spending a large amount of project time at client locations. In addition, our tax seniors assume tax-planning responsibilities for our federal clients and supervise assignments by the professional accountants serving as Consultants.

  • At least three years core federal tax experience required
  • Tax compliance experience
  • Big 4 experience or comparable a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other business-related field required
  • Advanced Degree preferred: MST, MAcc or LLM
  • CPA, Enrolled Agent or other appropriate certification; or CPA, Enrolled Agent eligible
  • Strong research, as well as written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly disciplined
  • Flexibility for travel
