At Deloitte, our approach to community involvement is simple and straightforward; we focus on delivering maximum social impact and business value. We know that when it comes to volunteering, our ability to make a difference starts right in our own backyards. That’s why we’re inviting you to participate in our Maximum Impact: DeKalb program, a one-day event that partners community-minded NIU students like you with professionals in Deloitte’s Chicago office.

As a part of Maximum Impact:  DeKalb, you’ll have the opportunity to partner with the local Pay-It-Forward House to help pay it forward.  Pay-It-Forward House is a nonprofit organization that provides physical and emotional rest to the loved ones of patients receiving medical treatment in DeKalb County.  Thanks to the hospitality of local volunteers and the generosity of donors from near and far they continue to run this house at basically no cost to its’ guests.  Pay-It-Forward House has accomplished its mission only when its guests are inspired to extend a kindness, large or small, to another person in need, not to pay back a favor, but to pay it forward and just help out.  You’ll also have the opportunity to work alongside professionals from Deloitte who can offer an inside look into professional services.  After a day spent working together, everyone will come together to reflect on the experience and celebrate accomplishments.

Maximum Impact: DeKalb is a terrific opportunity to make a difference in a local neighborhood and establish important professional connections. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or just ready to make a difference in a neighbor’s life, we hope you’ll consider Deloitte’s Maximum Impact: DeKalb an inspiring, engaging, and useful way to spend your time.
