Job Description:
As a Proposal Coach, you will coach and drive proposals which support our overall mission and strategies, including:

Pre-proposal activities
Taking a proactive approach to pre-proposal activity, including:
• research potential proposal targets, undertake pre-RFP targeting and positioning, and conduct early buyer analysis and positioning, often working in conjunction with other BD colleagues
• coach teams for scoping meetings, prepare scoping materials, ensure intelligence is gathered and shared, and is subsequently aligned to strategy
• in addition, coach individuals on improving service and relationship management skills and behaviors

Proposal strategy and development
• coach teams on value proposition and develop strategy and roadmap for proposals
• working in conjunction with nominated project managers, coach on the development of timeline and project plan for nominated proposals
• for proposal documents, plan and co-develop early drafts, writing and editing key sections and drive value proposition and messaging throughout document
• coach stakeholders through proposal review process
• provide input on creative concepts and oversee production and submission of the documents

Presentation/orals
• plan and develop orals approaches, coach team presenters and manage production and delivery of orals materials
• advise on post-orals contact and fee negotiation with client through the proposals driver and chairman
• coordinate with Marketing & Communications Group on any public/media exposure to support the firm’s position in proposal

Debrief process
• post proposal outcome, participate in debrief interviews with clients, communicate findings to stakeholders
• discuss results and findings with Account Team and other stakeholders and embed lessons learned into the proposal process
• support proposal research and innovation and ensure that proposal knowledge is distilled and leveraged for other opportunities

Ad-hoc projects
• development of IP to support and improve proposal processes
• support up-skilling of PwC in proposal skills and knowledge through formal and informal channels
• support and embed firmwide initiatives e.g. PwC Experience

Position/Program Requirements:
• With at least 6 years of experience in coaching/managing/leading complex proposals, preferably in a professional services environment and or a large Corporation/Conglomerate
• Excellent facilitation/BD skills and the ability to work as a trusted advisor to the most senior people in the firm
• Able to coach teams effectively for challenging orals situations, knowledge of presentation coaching techniques
• Solid understanding of best practice proposal processes as well as production processes and timelines
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines and budgets
• Constructive challenging approach able to effectively prioritize and delegate where appropriate when faced with multiple competing proposal requirements
• Strong people skills – ability to quickly build trust, credibility and rapport with senior stakeholders
• Excellent in English writing. Chinese language skill is preferred but not a must
• Accounting knowledge would be an advantage but not essential
