Job Details:


This position will report to the Federal and State Tax Managers. This will be a visible position within the organization with regular contact with other departments and senior management.


• Prepare and file federal income tax estimated payments, extensions, and returns including work papers and other schedules to support the federal compliance;

• Prepare and file state and local income and franchise tax estimated payments, extensions and returns, including apportionment work papers and other schedules to support the state compliance;

• Prepare and file state and local non income tax filings, annual reports, licenses, etc.;

• Perform and document federal and state tax planning and research projects;

• Monitor federal and state tax changes and document their impact on the firm;

• Identify opportunities/implement procedures for streamlining the tax compliance process;

• Correspond directly with state and local governments to resolve tax and business issues.

• Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provision work papers, memos and other supporting documents;

• Assist with federal, state and local tax audits;

• Work on other tax projects.




Job Requirements:

• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance required.

• Master’s degree in Taxation and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.

• 4+ years corporate tax experience (individual, partnership, S-Corp tax experience not applicable) with a public accounting firm (Big 4 preferred), Fortune 500 tax department or blend of public/industry tax required.

• Professional Services industry experience preferred.

• Possess high degree of accuracy, integrity, and attention to details

• Strong organizational and time management skills, including ability to work independently under tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Excellent communication skills including the ability to work in a collaborative environment as a team player in the tax department as well as with other departments and external advisors.

• Familiar with OneSource

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
